Bengaluru: Janata Dal Secular (JDS) leader and former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy filed nomination from Mandya Lok Sabha seat. Lok Sabha elections are to be held in Karnataka on 26 April.
He was accompanied by veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader B.S. Yediyurappa, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and party’s Mysuru candidate Yaduveer Krishnadutt Chamaraja Wadiyar were also present.
Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar is a member of the erstwhile dynasty of Mysuru. Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda-led JD(S) had joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in September last year. As per the agreement on seat-sharing in Karnataka, BJP will contest 25 Lok Sabha seats and JDS will contest the remaining three seats.
