Lucknow : The four-day International Children’s Olympiad, organized by City Montessori School, Aliganj II Campus, was inaugurated in a grand manner at the CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium. The Chief Guest, Jaya Shandilya, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Lucknow Police Commissionerate, lit the ceremonial lamp to formally inaugurate the international event. The presence of nearly 500 participants from Sri Lanka, Nepal and various states of India showcased a unique scene of unity and camaraderie.
Addressing the students from across the world, Chief Guest Jaya Shandilya remarked that music, art, and literature are the most effective mediums to inspire students towards humanitarian goals and such competitions foster new confidence in them. CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, stated that this international festival will not only be an exceptional confluence of knowledge and art but also serve as an excellent platform for exchanging ideas among future generations. CMS is making every effort to provide students with a global perspective so that future generations can truly become global citizens.
The inauguration ceremony featured a captivating array of educational and cultural programs by CMS students, leaving the audience spellbound. The performances included welcome dance, all-religion prayer, world unity prayer, yoga, group singing, dance drama, jungle safari, German song, qawwali, and many other remarkable presentations. On this occasion, the Olympiad Convener and Principal of CMS Aliganj II Campus, Samvida Adhikari, warmly welcomed the participants and team leaders, stating that the event is aimed at the multifaceted development of future generations and enhancing their humanitarian perspectives. The Olympiad will include several exciting competitions such as Remagica (art exhibition), Harmony Sphere (wellness circle), Wordy Muse (poetry reading), Worldless Wonders (dance and music competition), Sustainovation Showcase (digital presentation), and Tintinabulation (jingles) etc.
The series of competitions under the Olympiad is ongoing. While the Remagica (art exhibition) and Harmony Sphere (wellness circle) competitions showcased the participants’ strong talents, the Wordy Muse (poetry reading) competition highlighted the students’ creative and artistic abilities.
