Gonda Administration Holds Central Peace Committee Meeting Ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi and Durga Puja

Gonda: District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan and Superintendent of Police Abhishek chaired a Central Peace Committee meeting at the District Panchayat Auditorium to review arrangements for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi, idol immersion and Durga Puja festivals.

Members of peace committees, prominent citizens, religious event organisers and officials attended the meeting. Discussions focused on idol installation sites, procession routes, immersion locations, timings, expected crowds and coordination between organisers and the administration.

Officials directed organisers to follow prescribed rules and permissions, avoid unauthorised route changes and adhere to scheduled timings. Security arrangements, traffic management and law and order were also reviewed.

Special emphasis was placed on barricading, lighting, availability of divers, safety equipment and crowd control at immersion sites. Police officers were instructed to identify sensitive locations, maintain regular patrolling and ensure effective policing.

The administration also directed officials to monitor social media for rumours and objectionable content. Citizens were urged to verify information before sharing it and maintain communal harmony during the festivals.
