Deputy CM Says Merit, Hard Work and Transparency Are the Hallmarks of New India
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Thursday said the protection of students’ interests and securing their future remain among the government’s highest priorities under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that the decision to establish fast-track courts for paper leak cases will significantly strengthen the fight against examination-related crimes.
In a statement, Maurya said the creation of dedicated fast-track courts would ensure the swift and effective disposal of paper leak cases, enabling speedy prosecution and stringent punishment for those involved in such offences.
He said the move would serve as a decisive blow against paper leak syndicates and examination mafias, while reinforcing the fairness, transparency and credibility of the country’s examination system.
“The government will not spare anyone who attempts to play with the dreams and future of our youth,” the Deputy Chief Minister said, adding that strict legal action would be taken against all those involved in compromising the integrity of competitive examinations.
Maurya emphasised that ensuring justice for talent, recognising hard work and safeguarding the future of young aspirants are defining characteristics of a New India. He said the government is committed to conducting every competitive examination in a transparent and fair manner so that deserving candidates receive opportunities based solely on merit.
The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that the Uttar Pradesh government is working with determination to protect the interests of students and job aspirants, and that the law would deal firmly with individuals involved in paper leak cases.
Expressing confidence in the new judicial mechanism, Maurya said the establishment of fast-track courts would ensure timely justice in such cases and further strengthen the confidence of students and aspirants in the examination system.
