Lucknow: While instructing the officials, Uttar Pradesh’s Dairy Development Minister Dharmpal Singh said that along with milk production, our aim is to provide nutritious and quality milk to the general public.
Therefore, to effectively control synthetic milk, a proposal should be made regarding getting the milk tested by the department and coordination should be established with the concerned departments for the testing work and cooperation should be taken.
Testing work should be done by running a week-long campaign. Singh has given instructions to work speedily on paying the milk price to farmers and cattle rearers on priority basis, systematic operation of milk committees and increasing milk production in the state.
Uttar Pradesh’s Dairy Development Minister Dharmpal Singh reviewed the work of the Dairy Development Department in his office room located in Vidhan Bhawan here. Singh gave necessary guidelines regarding assistance and guidance in the business activities of PCDF in view of the lack of technical manpower for promoting dairy development and operation and management of milk unions/dairy plants.
He said that marketing should be promoted by PCDF and keeping in mind the economy, the help of skilled and technically proficient experts should be taken.
Singh said that special attention should be paid to the formation, strengthening and operation of committees. The more number of committees are formed, the more farmers and cattle rearers will benefit and milk production will also increase. PCDF should seriously work on all possibilities of milk procurement and milk products and necessary work should be done by establishing cooperation with NDDB.
In the meeting, Principal Secretary of Dairy Development Department Animal Husbandry Department, K. Ravindra Nayak apprised the Minister about the latest status of the department’s schemes and assured that strict compliance of the guidelines received from him will be ensured. Managing Director of PCDF, Anand Kumar, Milk Commissioner . Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Dr. Manoj Tiwari of PCDF and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
