Bareilly: District Magistrate Avinash Singh chaired a review meeting of works under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana at the Vikas Bhawan auditorium on Wednesday, emphasizing faster implementation and wider outreach of the flagship scheme.
During the meeting, the District Magistrate directed all concerned officials to intensify awareness campaigns so that more citizens are encouraged to avail the benefits of the scheme. Officials and departmental heads who have been assigned specific targets were instructed to ensure timely and proportionate progress against their goals.
Highlighting the importance of public participation, Singh stressed that government initiatives must be widely publicized to maximize their reach and impact. He also issued clear instructions to bank managers to facilitate smooth and timely loan disbursal under the scheme. Banks were asked to maintain a supportive approach towards vendors and applicants while ensuring that approved loans are released without delay.
The District Magistrate further noted that the scheme is reviewed monthly by Yogi Adityanath, urging all departments to work with transparency, accountability, and seriousness.
Chief Development Officer Devyani, Sub-Divisional Magistrate/PO NEDA Ram Janam Yadav, bank officials, and other concerned officials were present at the meeting.
