District Legal Services Authority Organises Mega Tree Plantation Drive on World Environment Day in Lucknow

Lucknow: A large-scale tree plantation programme was organised at the Old High Court premises in Lucknow on the occasion of World Environment Day under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Lucknow. The initiative was led by the Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority and In-Charge District Judge, Hussain Ahmad Ansari.

During the programme, saplings were planted across the court campus by the Chairman along with judicial officers and officials of the District Legal Services Authority. Abhishek Gupta, along with other judicial officers, participated in the plantation drive, planting a variety of shade-giving, fruit-bearing and medicinal trees.

Addressing the gathering, Justice Ansari emphasized the urgent need for environmental conservation and called for a change in individual behaviour to protect nature. He noted that human life is inseparably linked with trees and greenery, and stressed that every citizen has a moral responsibility to contribute towards maintaining ecological balance and ensuring a sustainable future.

He urged people to plant more trees in their surroundings and nurture them, highlighting that tree plantation is essential for clean air, environmental stability and the preservation of human existence. The programme reinforced the message of collective responsibility towards environmental protection and sustainable development.
