Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently visited Prayagraj and took stock of the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 and resolved to give a new direction to this year’s Mahakumbh. He said that the Mahakumbh will not only be divine and grand, but it will also become the standard of digital Mahakumbh. The Chief Minister announced plans to improve road, rail and air connectivity especially for the convenience and safety of the devotees.
Yogi Adityanath said that 7000 buses will be operated, including electric buses, so that environmental protection can be ensured. Along with this, cleanliness will be given top priority, with instructions to ban single-use plastic and run public awareness campaigns.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will worship Maa Ganga in Prayagraj on December 13. The Chief Minister talked about giving priority to public cooperation to make the Ganga clean and pure. Also, a plan has been made to promote the importance of Kumbh at the global level, so that the Mahakumbh gets recognition as ‘Green Prayagraj-Green Mahakumbh’.
Special attention will also be given to security and traffic arrangements during the Mahakumbh. The Chief Minister directed the police to adopt cooperative behavior and make strong arrangements for drone surveillance, cyber security and disaster management. An action plan will be made for special bathing dates and deployment of disaster friends will be ensured.
Emphasis is being laid on technical arrangements for the experience of digital Mahakumbh, so that devotees will be able to experience various dimensions of Mahakumbh digitally. Along with this, Mohalla committees will be activated in Prayagraj to realize the goal of ‘Green Mahakumbh’.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to do timely and quality work and called for speeding up all preparations to make the organization of Mahakumbh historic.
