CM Yogi Adityanath Directs Timely Delivery of Welfare Schemes to Every Eligible Citizen at Gorakhpur Janata Darshan

Gorakhpur: UP CM Yogi Adityanath reiterated that all welfare schemes of the government must reach every eligible and needy citizen without delay, stressing that benefits ranging from housing and healthcare to pensions, education support for girls, and financial assistance for marriage and treatment must be delivered in a time-bound and transparent manner.

The Chief Minister was addressing public grievances during the Janata Darshan held at Gorakhpur, where he personally met around 200 people and listened to their complaints and requests. He directed officials to ensure prompt, fair, and satisfactory resolution of all cases, emphasizing that administrative responsiveness is key to good governance.

Focus on Welfare Scheme Inclusion

CM Yogi underlined that the state government runs multiple welfare schemes for the poor, elderly, widows, and economically weaker sections. He instructed officials to actively ensure that all eligible beneficiaries are identified, assisted in completing applications, and linked with the appropriate schemes. He said that no deserving individual should be deprived of benefits due to procedural delays or lack of awareness.

He further assured that assistance for serious medical treatment would not be denied due to financial constraints. Officials were directed to prepare cost estimates for critical treatments at the earliest so that government funding could be released without delay.

Strict Action on Land Encroachment and Fraud Cases

During the interaction, several grievances related to land encroachment were also raised. The Chief Minister directed police and district administration officials to take strict action against anyone illegally occupying land or harassing citizens. He emphasized that such cases must be handled firmly to protect public rights and maintain law and order.

In one case, a woman from Jaunpur alleged that a non-governmental organization had issued fraudulent certificates. The Chief Minister ordered a thorough investigation and appropriate legal action based on findings.

Humane Interaction with Citizens

The Janata Darshan also reflected a personal and compassionate approach, as the Chief Minister interacted warmly with children who accompanied their families. He blessed them, encouraged them to focus on their studies, and distributed chocolates, creating a friendly and reassuring atmosphere amid the grievance redressal session.

He reiterated that the administration must remain sensitive and approachable, ensuring that public interactions are resolved with empathy and urgency.

Visit to Gorakhnath Temple Gaushala

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister visited the gaushala at Gorakhnath Temple, where he participated in cow service activities. He patted and fed the cattle with jaggery and bread, and reviewed the arrangements for their care. He instructed the staff to ensure proper upkeep, cleanliness, and regular monitoring of the cattle housed in the facility.

Governance Emphasis

The Janata Darshan session once again highlighted the state government’s emphasis on direct public engagement, grievance redressal, and welfare delivery. CM Yogi reiterated that accountability at every level of administration is essential to ensure that government schemes achieve their intended social impact.

The event concluded with directions to officials to maintain continuous follow-up on all pending applications and complaints, ensuring that citizens receive timely relief and support
