Chief Minister’s Mass Wedding Scheme: 293 Couples Wedded in Gonda

GONDA — A grand Chief Minister’s Mass Wedding Program (Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana) was successfully and transparently organized on Tuesday at the Royal Paradise Marriage Hall in Gonda.

Out of a total of 355 registered couples across various development blocks, municipal councils, and town panchayats in the district, 293 couples tied the knot following traditional customs and rituals.

  • Interfaith Ceremonies: Among the 293 unions, 280 couples were married according to Hindu rites, while 13 couples completed their Nikah under Islamic traditions, conducted by Maulana Sahibe Alam.

  • Dignitaries Present: Mankapur MLA Ramapati Shastri, Gaura MLA Prabhat Verma, District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, Chief Development Officer Dayanand Prasad, and representative to the Union Minister of State for External Affairs UP Singh attended the venue to bless the newlyweds.

  • Administrative Support: District Development Officer Aditya Tiwari, Project Director DRDA Sushil Kumar Pandey, District Social Welfare Officer Satya Prakash Singh, along with various Block Development Officers and local representatives, were present to oversee the event and felicitate the couples.
