– Meeting Attended by Additional Municipal Commissioner, RWA President, and Officials from Zone 4
Lucknow: Due to non-payment of house tax in Gomti Nagar Extension, on Sunday, Additional Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Srivastava held a meeting with Zone-4 officials and RWA representatives. Umashankar Dubey, President of Lucknow Jan Kalyan Mahasamiti, also participated in the meeting.
Camp to be Held Daily Until March 31st
Pankaj Srivastava, Additional Municipal Commissioner, informed that the Municipal Corporation will organize daily camps in Sector-4 of Gomti Nagar Extension for house tax payment until March 31st. This opportunity is for all citizens who have not yet paid their house tax. These camps will be held at the Municipal Corporation’s LSA Office, where citizens can easily pay their house tax.
RWA’s Appeal for Camps
The RWA had again requested the Municipal Corporation to set up a one-day camp in all RWA areas of the Extension. They also appealed to adjust the timings of the camp to include both morning and evening hours. The Municipal Corporation has agreed to this request, and now citizens can visit the camp at either time to pay their taxes.
12% Interest After March 31st
It is true that paying house tax, water tax, electricity bills, telephone bills, income tax, etc., is a personal responsibility. However, it is the duty of the RWA to ensure that citizens are made aware of these payments in time. After March 31st, a 12% interest will be charged on house tax, whereas currently, citizens are being given a discount on the interest.
