Blood Donation Camp Organized at School of Management Sciences, Lucknow

Lucknow: A blood donation camp was organized at the campus of the School of Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow, in collaboration with Lions Club Lucknow Blood Buddies, Medanta Hospital, Lucknow, and Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow. The objective of the camp was to encourage the spirit of voluntary blood donation and create awareness about the importance of blood donation.

Students, faculty members, and staff of the institution participated enthusiastically in the camp. As part of this noble social initiative, a total of 100 units of blood were collected from 145 participants. The participants came forward wholeheartedly to contribute to this humanitarian and socially significant campaign.

The medical teams and volunteers from the collaborating organizations ensured that the blood donation process was conducted safely and systematically while following all necessary medical protocols. The initiative provided members of the SMS family with an opportunity to fulfill their social responsibilities and strengthen the spirit of social responsibility.

Sharad Singh, Secretary and CEO, SMS Lucknow appreciated the active participation of the students, faculty members, and staff in the blood donation camp. He also expressed his gratitude to Lions Club Lucknow Blood Buddies, Medanta Hospital, and SGPGI, Lucknow, for their valuable support and participation in the successful organization of the camp.

The blood donation camp reflected the institution’s commitment to community service, social responsibility, and humanitarian values. Through the initiative, the message was also conveyed that blood donation is a noble humanitarian service and that a single unit of blood can play a vital role in saving the life of a person in need.

The blood donation camp was successfully conducted in the presence of Dr. Ashish Bhatnagar, Director, School of Management Sciences, Lucknow; Dr. Jagdish Singh, Director (Administration); Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Associate Director; and the teams from Lions Club Lucknow Blood Buddies, Medanta Hospital, Lucknow, and Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow. The camp was conducted under the supervision of  Aditya Pratap Singh, Programme Coordinator, and his team.
