Varanasi: Mahamana’s grandson and BHU Chancellor Justice Giridhar Malviya has passed away. Giridhar Malviya breathed his last at 9.40 am in Prayagraj. He was ill for some time. On the news of his death, BHU Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain has left for Prayagraj.
BHU Chancellor Justice Giridhar was the great-grandson of Bharat Ratna Pandit Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya. He breathed his last in Prayagraj at the age of 94.
He came to the last BHU convocation on a wheelchair. Before this, Giridhar Malviya was also the proposer of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
