Deoria – In a successful operation, the Bhatpar Rani Police team apprehended two individuals and seized five bovine animals from a pickup vehicle during a routine vehicle check. Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted a pickup truck with the registration number UP-38 T-9221 near the Bharat Gas Agency on Majhauli Raj Mahuabari Road.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Bablu alias Zulfekar Mian, son of Cash Mian, a resident of Sapaha village under the Turpatti police station in Kushinagar district, and Shahabuddin Shah, son of Shamsul Shah, hailing from Ahrauli Dubauli Tola in Gopalpur district, Gopalganj, Bihar.
The police took custody of both the vehicle and the animals and registered a case under FIR no. 215/2024, invoking Section 3/5A/8 of the Cow Slaughter Prevention Act and Section 11 of the Animal Cruelty Act. Appropriate legal action has been initiated as per the established rules.
