Bareilly DM Reviews NCAP Projects, Directs Timely Completion of Pending Civic Works

Bareilly: District Magistrate Avinash Singh chaired a review meeting of the Municipal Corporation’s National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) projects at the Collectorate on Friday, directing officials to expedite pending works and ensure their completion within the stipulated timeframe.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate instructed the Municipal Corporation to prioritise unfinished projects under the NCAP and prepare tenders immediately for works that are yet to be awarded. He stressed that all pending projects should be executed without unnecessary delays.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the slow progress of pending road projects being handled by the Public Works Department (PWD), Singh directed the concerned officials to complete the required correspondence and initiate construction work at the earliest. He warned that negligence in implementing development projects would not be tolerated.

The District Magistrate also instructed officials to undertake large-scale plantation along newly completed roads and install tree guards to ensure the protection and survival of saplings. He further directed that details of all completed and ongoing projects be uploaded promptly to the designated monitoring portal to facilitate regular review and transparency.

To ensure quality, Singh asked the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department to constitute a verification team for inspecting completed works. He also instructed the Forest Department to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for areas where Miyawaki plantations have not yet been undertaken and to ensure 100 per cent plantation under the initiative.

Emphasising close monitoring of project implementation, the District Magistrate directed officials to review the progress of these instructions in a follow-up meeting to be held after 15 days.

The meeting was attended by Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Maurya, Additional Municipal Commissioner Shashi Bhushan, Executive Engineer (PWD) Bhagat Singh, and other concerned officials.
