Mumbai: Ahead of the theatrical release of the animated feature Mahaprabhu Jagannath, the film’s makers sought the blessings of yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who praised the project for promoting India’s spiritual heritage and encouraged parents to watch it with their children.
Calling the film an important cultural initiative, Baba Ramdev said, “Mahaprabhu Jagannath reflects the values, teachings and divine legacy of Lord Jagannath, who is an integral part of Sanatan tradition. His life and message inspire devotion, faith and a deeper connection with our cultural roots.”
Appreciating the filmmakers’ efforts to introduce Indian traditions to younger audiences through animation, he added, “The team deserves congratulations for creating a film that helps children understand our culture and values. Every parent should take their children to watch this film so they can develop a stronger connection with their heritage. We must continue to preserve and celebrate our roots. Jai Jagannath.”
Designed as a family entertainer, Mahaprabhu Jagannath brings together vibrant animation, mythology and life lessons to present the story of Lord Jagannath in an engaging format for audiences of all ages. The film follows the success of the popular animated series Jai Jagannath and marks its transition to the big screen.
The film has been produced by Durga Prasad Dalai, directed by Shripad Warkhedkar, with screenplay and dialogues by Pallavi Sharma and music composed by Aviral Kumar.
For its theatrical rollout, Ale Animations Pvt. Ltd. has partnered with Cinépolis to release the film in more than 300 cinemas across India in Hindi, Odia and Telugu. The animated feature will also receive an international release in the United States, Canada and Europe, expanding its reach to global audiences.
The film’s promotional campaign has gathered momentum following a grand trailer launch attended by more than 10,000 devotees, where spiritual leader Indresh Upadhyay was also present. With Baba Ramdev’s endorsement adding to the anticipation, Mahaprabhu Jagannath is expected to appeal to families seeking a blend of entertainment, spirituality and Indian cultural values.
