Ayodhya Deepotsav 2026 to Feature ‘Green Sun’ in Sky Over Sarayu; Eco-Friendly Fireworks to Be Major Attraction

Ayodhya: The 10th edition of Ayodhya’s Deepotsav will combine spectacular visual displays with an environment-conscious approach, with green fireworks set to be a major attraction. A special display featuring a ‘Green Sun’ illuminating the sky above the Sarayu River is being planned as part of the celebrations.

On the directions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, green fireworks will be used this year to reduce smoke and air pollution while maintaining the grandeur of the festival.

According to representatives of E-Factor Experiences Limited, the Green Sun display will be created using specially designed fireworks technology. The presentation is intended to minimise toxic smoke and excessive noise, creating a striking visual effect through a combination of golden and green lights above the Sarayu.

New Technology for Green Fireworks

The fireworks are being developed with the involvement of environmental experts and scientists. Instead of conventional chemical compositions containing elements such as barium nitrate, aluminium and strontium, the green fireworks will use compounds designed to produce lower carbon emissions and less smoke. The initiative is expected to help reduce the environmental impact of the celebrations.

Colourful Aerial Displays Planned

Three Hydra machines will be deployed above the Sarayu bridge to create platforms at a height of approximately 80 feet for the fireworks display.

The programme will feature a variety of visual effects, including spinning wheels, reverse firing, aerial displays, rockets, whistling crackers, tricolour formations and rainbow effects.

The organisers are also focusing on safety arrangements to ensure that the celebrations remain visually spectacular while minimising environmental impact.
