Lucknow: In the 20th Babu Banarasi Das-A Division League match, UP Timber Cricket Club and Dhruv Cricket Academy won their matches and collected full points. In the match played at Sindra Cricket Academy, Dhruv Cricket Academy defeated Triumph Cricket Academy by a huge margin of 140 runs, thanks to the lethal bowling of Manvendra Chauhan. Batting first, Dhruv Cricket Academy scored 264 runs in 40 overs, losing 7 wickets. Rajdeep Singh scored 95 and Sagar Sharma scored 74 runs. Atul Mishra took 3 wickets from Triumph Academy’s side. In reply, Triumph Cricket Academy’s team could score only 124 runs, losing all wickets in 31.3 overs. Abdul Kashif played an innings of 59 runs. Manvendra Chauhan bowled lethally from Dhruv’s side and sent 5 batsmen to the pavilion. Ayan Chaudhary and Shivansh Kapoor took two wickets each.
In another match, UP Timber defeated Yorker Cricket Club by 10 wickets due to the superb bowling of Atif Sajid. In the match played at Dr. Akhilesh Das Stadium, Yorker Club batted first and scored 65 runs losing all wickets in 27.1 overs. Apart from Sarthak Dixit (19 runs) and Faizanul Rehman (18 runs), no batsman could reach double digits. Five batsmen returned to the pavilion without opening their account.
For UP Timber, Atif Sajid took 4 wickets for 21 runs in 8 overs with 2 maidens. Hasan Akhtar got 3 wickets. In reply, UP Timber scored 66 runs without losing any wicket and registered a win. Rijul Patel scored 44 runs in 23 balls with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes.
