AKTU Students Visit Uttar Pradesh Assembly to Learn About Legislative Proceedings

Lucknow: A group of BTech students from the Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) visited the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Monday to gain first-hand knowledge of its functioning and legislative processes.

Guided by AKTU Vice-Chancellor Prof JP Pandey, the student delegation visited various sections of the Assembly under the leadership of CAS Director Prof SP Shukla. During the visit, students learned about the proceedings of the House and explored the Assembly gallery, its history and other important aspects of the legislative institution.

As part of the educational tour, the students were also given a virtual helicopter experience, offering them a view of prominent sites in Varanasi and Prayagraj.

Stepping outside the classroom to experience the functioning of a major democratic institution, the students appeared enthusiastic about the visit. The programme provided them with an opportunity to understand legislative procedures and gain broader insights into the functioning of the state legislature.

The visit was coordinated by Dr Anuj Kumar Sharma, Associate Dean, Innovation, at the university.
