Lucknow: Samajwadi Party President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday honored meritorious students from Gorakhpur who secured top positions in the 2026 CBSE and UP Board High School and Intermediate examinations. The students were presented with laptops during a felicitation ceremony held at the Samajwadi Party state headquarters in Lucknow.
Congratulating the students on their outstanding academic achievements, Akhilesh Yadav wished them success in their future endeavors and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their educational and professional careers.
Among the CBSE toppers, Gauransh Agrahari secured first place in the High School examination with 98 percent marks, while Sarvagya Mishra also scored 98 percent marks to secure second position. In the Intermediate category, Prince Singh topped with 96.80 percent marks, while Ananya Tripathi secured second place with 92 percent marks. All four students are from PN National Public School.
In the UP Board High School examination, Divya Yadav was honored for securing first position with 95.67 percent marks. A student of Sanskar Inter College, she emerged as one of the district’s top performers. Priya Chauhan, a student of UMV Sidhoura Belghat, secured second position with 95 percent marks.
In the UP Board Intermediate examination, Aastha Dubey, a student of Carmel Girls Inter College, secured first place with 92.80 percent marks. Supriya Sharma secured second position with 92.40 percent marks.
Presenting laptops to the students, Akhilesh Yadav praised their dedication, hard work, and academic excellence. He expressed confidence that their achievements would inspire other young students across the state to pursue education with determination and commitment. The event was organized to recognize and encourage academic talent while promoting the importance of education among the youth.
