MP/UP: For television actors who spend long hours on set, a day off is usually an opportunity to relax. However, during Ganesh Chaturthi, Thodi Si Umeed, Thoda Sa Aasman actors Aarti Birajdar, Ankita Bahuguna and Gaurav Bajpai chose to make their break more meaningful by visiting a Ganpati pandal in Kolhapur.
The actors, who are currently staying in a hostel for their shoot, visited the Shri Margai Gali Mandal to seek blessings and experience the festive celebrations. For Aarti, who plays Vaidehi, the visit became memorable after she noticed an appeal asking devotees to bring books and pens instead of traditional offerings.
“I really liked the idea,” Aarti said, adding that even a small gift such as a book can help someone learn, progress or bring happiness to their life. She said the simple initiative made the celebration particularly meaningful for her.
Aarti also appreciated the active participation of young people in organising the festival. According to her, the youngsters were celebrating with enthusiasm while also showing concern for society and the environment.
The actor said the short break from their demanding shooting schedule allowed the cast to enjoy the festival and return with a positive experience and a thoughtful message.
