Lucknow: Mission Shakti Yojana will prove to be helpful in determining the role of women in the automation sector in future. This view was expressed by the Governor of the state, Anandiben Patel, during a meeting organized at Raj Bhavan to commemorate the 50th anniversary of UP Industrial Consultant Ltd. She informed that due to the efforts of the Umeed Sanstha, more than 500 children have been freed from begging and enrolled in school. She instructed to connect the mothers of these children with this scheme and said that this will bring positive change in the society. She also instructed to provide vocational training and skill development training to the students of lower classes under the new education.
The Governor informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Usha Yojana, budget has been allocated to 6 universities of the state. UP Industrial Consultant Ltd should prepare DPR by conducting training related to automation lab in any one of these universities. This will benefit the women of that particular area in establishing self-employment. On this occasion, the Governor handed over symbolic keys to three beneficiaries Geeta Verma, Radhika Gautam and Aanchal Verma trained in e-rickshaw driving under Mission Shakti Yojana and directed for the continuous security and income source of women trained and given e-rickshaws under Mission Shakti Yojana and asked the beneficiary women to do good work.
In the meeting, Managing Director of UP Industrial Consultant Ltd.,Praveen Singh informed that efforts are being made to make 75000 women self-reliant and self-sufficient by training them under this scheme.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary to Governor Dr. Sudhir Mahadev Bobde, Special Officer Education Dr. Pankaj L. Johnny, members of UP Industrial Consultant Ltd. and other officers were present.
