Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has intensified its investigation into suspected operatives allegedly linked to Pakistani-based Shahzad Bhatti’s network, conducting simultaneous raids across nearly 10 districts, including Lucknow. Around 10–15 people have reportedly been taken into custody for questioning.
The raids are underway in several districts, including Sitapur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Aligarh and Meerut. The operation aims to identify other suspected members of the network and investigate their alleged roles and connections.
According to reports, the latest action follows questioning of individuals arrested earlier in the case. Investigators have reportedly received information about more than 150 people during interrogations and are examining their activities, associations and possible links with the suspected network.
52 Suspects Arrested in Four Months

According to the UP ATS, 52 suspects have been arrested over the past four months in connection with alleged terror-related activities linked to the Shahzad Bhatti network.
Investigators are also examining allegations that social media platforms were used to approach young people and recruit them into the network. Digital evidence, including social media accounts, online conversations and communication links, is being scrutinised.
The ATS is questioning those detained to establish their alleged involvement, identify other possible associates and trace the wider network. Further action is expected as the investigation progresses.
