Little Stars Celebrate India’s Rich Heritage at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Goel Campus

Lucknow: A vibrant celebration of India’s cultural diversity and rich heritage came alive at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Goel Campus, Lucknow, as students of LKG and UKG presented an engaging class programme themed “Incredible India: Celebrating Our Heritage – Unity in Diversity”.

Guided by the school’s motto, “Little Steps… Big Dreams… Brighter Future!”, the young performers took the audience on a colourful journey through India’s traditions, customs and cultural legacy, demonstrating remarkable confidence, creativity and enthusiasm.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest Dr. Jolly Saxena, Chairman Mahesh Agarwal, Principal Dr. Rina Pathak and Vice Principal Anita Gupta, followed by a hymn and prayer. A graceful welcome dance set the tone for a series of performances celebrating different aspects of Indian life.

The young students showcased India’s cultural richness through presentations on traditional art and painting, folk dances, cuisine, festivals, yoga, sports and the country’s diverse wildlife. An interactive quiz on Indian culture further added an educational dimension to the celebration, making learning both enjoyable and memorable.

Dr. Jolly Saxena, Head and Professor of the Department of Rasa Shastra at Goel Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, appreciated the students for their enthusiastic performances. She highlighted the importance of introducing children to their cultural roots and holistic traditions such as yoga from an early age. According to her, such exposure helps develop a strong foundation for lifelong learning, physical well-being and a deeper understanding of India’s heritage.

Mahesh Agarwal, Chairman of Goel Group of Institutions, commended the students and teachers for their collective efforts. He emphasised that encouraging creativity, confidence and respect for the country’s traditions during early childhood plays an important role in shaping responsible and capable individuals. He also encouraged young learners to dream big and strive for excellence.

Principal Dr. Rina Pathak expressed her heartfelt gratitude to parents for their continued encouragement and support. She observed that every small effort made by a child contributes to a brighter future. Celebrating India’s cultural heritage, she added, helps children develop a strong sense of identity while preparing them to become confident, grounded and globally aware citizens.

The presentation concluded on a patriotic note, with the gathering celebrating India’s rich culture, colourful traditions and glorious heritage. The collective chant of “Jai Hind!” brought the programme to a spirited close, leaving the audience with a renewed sense of national pride.

Beyond its colourful performances, the event offered the youngest learners an opportunity to understand India’s unity in diversity while expressing themselves through music, dance, knowledge and creativity.
