Mumbai: Actress Komal Thakkar added a touch of Cannes glamour to the inauguration of ALF NOVA Aesthetic Skin Clinic at Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. Thakkar, who has made three appearances at the Cannes Film Festival, joined the launch event celebrating the new aesthetic and wellness destination.
ALF NOVA has been founded by Dr. Alifia Rizvi, a consulting aesthetic physician, cosmetologist, trichologist and aesthetic gynaecologist. Speaking at the event, Dr. Rizvi highlighted the growing demand for specialised aesthetic and wellness services and the importance of making expert care accessible under one roof.
The inauguration was attended by Shivram Bhandari of Shivaji Salon, Ashok Dhamankar, founder of Magnet Publishing and publisher of Society Achievers Magazine, builder Dr Akhtar Rizvi and Advocate Rubina Rizvi, Director of Rizvi Education Society, among others. The guests ceremonially lit the lamp to mark the beginning of the clinic’s journey.
Thakkar said modern aesthetic clinics can contribute to confidence and self-expression. Known for her work in Gujarati cinema, she has appeared in Aa To Prem Chhe, Kasoombo, Hameer and Sanghvi & Sons. Her Cannes appearances in 2022, 2023 and 2025 have added an international dimension to her career.
