The sports complex is witnessing regular practice sessions and matches in cricket and several other disciplines. International hockey player Prem Kumar is mentoring players at the Sports City. He has been associated with the Indian Railways hockey team and has also worked as a coach in the Malaysian Hockey League.

Former Ranji Trophy player and National Institute of Sports (NIS) Gold Medallist Ravi Kant Pandey is serving as the Head Coach. A BCCI-certified coach, Pandey has also worked with the Services Ranji Trophy team.
The coaching setup also includes young and qualified trainers. Ankit Kumar, who holds an M.P.Ed degree, is a former professional cricketer with more than three years of coaching experience.
Rachit Shankar, who has completed an ICC Foundation Course, is a former professional cricketer and Inter-University player. Both coaches are working with young players to sharpen their technique, improve their game skills and develop their overall performance.

The list includes Rohan Thakur (UPCA Under-16, Varanasi), Shivam Yadav (UPCA Under-16, Deoria), Sahab Yuvraj Singh (Ranji Trophy, Indian Railways), Piyush Yadav (BCCI Under-23, Goa Cricket Association), Shubham Chaubey (Ranji Trophy, Indian Railways), Kuldeep Yadav (BCCI Under-16, Chandigarh), Sawan Singh (BCCI Under-23, Uttar Pradesh) and Ravi Singh (Ranji Trophy, Indian Railways).
