Mumbai: When love, trust and marriage become entangled with betrayal and legal complications, relationships can turn into complex battles involving emotions, rights and the law. Exploring this intersection is the upcoming film Love Lottery, starring Akshay Oberoi and Haley Daruvala.
The film, which was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on September 18, has been postponed by a week and will now release on September 25, 2026. The change in release schedule has been attributed to a delay in obtaining the film’s censor certificate.
Produced by Kuldeep Bhargava ‘Tushar’ under the Cinema-Ganj Films banner and directed by Arvind Pandey, Love Lottery combines relationship drama with elements of suspense and courtroom storytelling. The film deals with contemporary relationship conflicts and examines how marriage, betrayal and legal disputes can reshape the lives of those involved.
Among the themes explored in the film are marital disputes and maintenance-related legal issues. The story also brings the question of men’s rights into its narrative, while examining the broader issue of balancing rights and responsibilities within relationships.
Akshay Oberoi and Haley Daruvala headline the cast, while Kabir Duhan Singh, Vijayant Kohli, Hemant Pandey and Indira Krishnan are among the other actors appearing in important roles.
Rather than presenting the subject purely as a conventional romantic story, the film appears to use its courtroom and suspense elements to raise questions about the complicated relationship between personal relationships and legal processes.
