Lucknow: Women came together to celebrate Hariyali Teej with enthusiasm and traditional fervour at the Scorpio Club in Lucknow, where a colourful programme featuring cultural performances, games and a Teej Queen contest was organised.
The celebrations began with a traditional welcome, as women participants were greeted with roli and brooches. The programme opened with a Shiv Stuti presented by Jyoti Singh, setting a devotional tone for the festivities.

A series of dance performances followed, with participants including Jagriti, Deepa Singh, Asha Srivastava, Ruchi Sharma and Somlata Singh entertaining the gathering with their performances.
The event also featured a variety of fun games and interactive activities. More than 60 women participated in the special programme, which combined traditional elements with entertainment and social interaction.
Several women, including Shail Saxena, Shashi Tripathi, Asha Srivastava, Deepa Seth, Phoolmati, Shashi Verma, Deepti Singh, Dr Sangeeta and Jyoti Tamta, were honoured during the celebrations for their participation and contribution.

The highlight of the event was the selection of the Teej Queen. After multiple rounds, including a ramp walk and question-based activities, Yashi Shukla was declared the Teej Queen. Somlata Singh was adjudged the first runner-up, while Seema Singh secured the second runner-up position.
The programme was hosted and conducted by Amita Tripathi, Dipali Vajpayee, Jyoti Singh and Neelam Srivastava.
The celebration provided the participating women an opportunity to enjoy traditional festivities, showcase their talents and strengthen social bonds while celebrating the cultural significance of Hariyali Teej.
