Bareilly: The new academic session at the Government Girls’ Hostel on the campus of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University in Bareilly began with a traditional Havan and puja ceremony on Saturday.
The religious ceremony was first organised at the hostel and was subsequently held at the hostel dining hall. Prayers were offered for the smooth functioning of the new academic session and the well-being of the students.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh and Registrar Mahendra Kumar Singh extended their best wishes to the students and hostel staff on the beginning of the new session. Hostel Warden Dr Jyoti Pandey also conveyed her greetings and wished the students a successful and productive academic year.
Dr Kirti, Dr Ruchi, Meena Pandey, Neelakshi, Rakhi, Sunita, other staff members and students were present during the ceremony.
The event marked the beginning of the new session in a traditional and positive atmosphere, with students and staff joining the prayers for a successful year ahead.
