“Monsoon takes me back to my carefree childhood. I remember running outside without worrying about getting drenched, making paper boats, and simply enjoying every drop of rain. I love how the season reminds us that even the sky cries, yet those showers bring life, freshness, and hope. There is something incredibly calming about the sound of rain that instantly lifts my mood,” she said.
Sharing her ideal rainy-day routine, the actress revealed that slowing down is the best way to enjoy the season. “A perfect rainy day for me starts with a hot cup of chai while watching the rain from my window. I love reading a good book, watching a feel-good movie, listening to soothing music, and spending quality time with my family. If the rain isn’t too heavy, I also enjoy going for a peaceful drive because Mumbai looks beautiful during the monsoon,” Soniya shared.
When it comes to monsoon music, one song continues to hold a special place in her heart. “‘Tum Se Hi’ from Jab We Met is one of my favourite monsoon songs. It has a timeless charm and a soothing melody that perfectly matches the romance and serenity of the rainy season. Every time I hear it, it instantly creates a beautiful monsoon mood,” she said.
No rainy season is complete without comfort food, and Soniya admits she has her own indulgent favourites.

“Nothing beats hot pakoras with masala chai during the rains. I also love roasted corn with lemon and spices because it reminds me of long drives and evenings spent enjoying the weather. Those simple flavours make the season even more special,” she said.
Talking about her dream monsoon escape, the actress picked one destination that she believes becomes magical during the rainy season. “My favourite monsoon holiday destination is Lonavala. The lush green hills, misty valleys, waterfalls, and cool weather create the perfect setting to unwind. Nature looks its absolute best during the monsoon, and I always feel refreshed after spending time there,” Soniya concluded.
