MJPRU to Hold Counselling for B.Sc. (Agriculture) First-Year Admissions on July 8

Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, will conduct counselling for admission to the first year of its Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) programme on July 8, 2026, university officials announced.

The admission process is being carried out under the leadership and guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh, who has played a key role in introducing the modern, employment-oriented agriculture programme at the university. The course has been designed to address the evolving needs of the agricultural sector and equip students with contemporary knowledge and practical skills.

Merit List to Be Released on July 1

Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Prof. Upendra Kumar, informed that the merit list for B.Sc. (Agriculture) first-year admissions will be published on the university’s official website on July 1, 2026.

Candidates selected in the merit list will receive counselling letters via email on July 2, 2026.

Counselling Schedule and Admission Requirements

According to the university, counselling for selected candidates will take place on the university campus on July 8, 2026. Applicants must bring all original educational certificates, mark sheets, relevant category certificates (if applicable), along with self-attested photocopies of the documents.

Candidates will also be required to deposit the prescribed first-year admission fee of ₹40,000. The fee must be paid only through the online mode into the university account by 5:00 PM on July 8, 2026.

Vice-Chancellor Highlights Importance of Agricultural Education

Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh described the B.Sc. (Agriculture) programme as a matter of pride for the university.

He stated that the course has been introduced to familiarize students with modern agricultural practices, technologies, and innovations while fostering self-reliance and entrepreneurship among future agricultural professionals.

“Our goal is to ensure that every agriculture graduate from this university emerges as a strong contributor to the nation’s agricultural development,” Prof. Singh said.
