Lucknow Police Announce ₹1 Lakh Reward Each for Shooters in Sandeep Singh Murder Case

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: The Lucknow Police have announced a reward of ₹1 lakh each for information leading to the arrest of the two shooters accused of carrying out the daylight murder of property dealer Sandeep Singh in the state capital on May 27.

The accused allegedly shot Sandeep Singh dead in broad daylight before fleeing the scene. The shocking incident, which took place around 1 p.m., was captured on CCTV cameras and sparked widespread concern over public safety. Despite extensive efforts by investigators, the shooters remain absconding, prompting authorities to increase the reward amount in a bid to secure their arrest.

According to police officials, the investigation revealed that the murder was allegedly executed by hired gunmen. While the shooters have yet to be apprehended, law enforcement agencies have already arrested two alleged conspirators in connection with the case and sent them to judicial custody.

CCTV Footage Provided Crucial Leads

Investigators examined CCTV footage that showed Sandeep Singh arriving at his office when two motorcycle-borne assailants approached and opened fire. The attackers reportedly continued shooting until the victim sustained a fatal head injury before escaping from the scene.

The footage, which lasted nearly 50 seconds, became a key piece of evidence in the investigation. Following the incident, senior police officials reached the spot, and a murder case was registered. Authorities subsequently analyzed call records, financial transactions, and other evidence to trace the motive and identify those involved.

Land Dispute Emerges as Alleged Motive

The case took a significant turn when the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) joined the investigation. According to investigators, the murder was allegedly linked to a long-standing land dispute.

Police arrested alleged mastermind Dinesh Kumar Yadav, a property dealer, and his associate and driver, Mubeen. Investigators claim that Dinesh and the victim had been embroiled in a dispute over a parcel of land in the Kakori area valued at approximately ₹60 lakh.

According to the STF, Mubeen allegedly helped arrange the contract shooters at the behest of Dinesh Kumar Yadav. Investigators believe the murder was planned after the dispute escalated and legal battles between the parties continued over an extended period.

Detailed Surveillance Before the Attack

The investigation has also revealed that the shooters allegedly conducted surveillance on Sandeep Singh for several days before carrying out the attack. Police believe they monitored his daily routine, movements between home and office, and selected the location for the assault after careful planning.

Authorities suspect that an old motorcycle fitted with a fake number plate was used in the crime. Preliminary findings indicate that the shooters may have agreed to carry out the murder for a contract amount of around ₹10 lakh.

Investigation Continues

Police have recovered luxury vehicles from properties linked to the alleged mastermind and examined financial transactions that investigators believe could provide additional evidence regarding the conspiracy.

With the shooters still at large, Lucknow Police have intensified efforts to track them down and urged anyone with relevant information to come forward. Officials remain confident that the reward announcement and ongoing investigation will help lead to the arrest of the accused and bring the case to its conclusion.

The murder case has drawn significant public attention due to the brazen nature of the attack and the alleged role of a land dispute in triggering a contract killing in the heart of the state capital.
