Expressing his satisfaction over the accomplishment, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal congratulated the faculty members, researchers, students, and staff, describing the recognition as a proud moment for the entire university community.
“This ranking is the result of the collective efforts of our teachers, researchers, students, and administrative staff. Securing a place among the country’s leading central universities demonstrates our dedication to quality education, impactful research, and institutional growth,” he said.
Prof. Mittal noted that the recognition reflects the university’s strong performance across multiple domains, including teaching and learning resources, research quality and impact, innovation, industry collaboration, placement outcomes, career support services, and overall institutional development.
The IIRF rankings evaluate higher educational institutions across India on a range of parameters, including placement performance, academic resources, research productivity, industry engagement, future readiness, and national as well as international reputation. BBAU’s performance across these indicators enabled it to secure a place among the top 20 central universities in the country.

According to the university administration, the institution has consistently focused on strengthening academic standards and research capabilities since its establishment as a Central University in 1996. Investments in modern research facilities, innovation-driven teaching methods, and student-centric initiatives have contributed significantly to its growing national standing.
University officials believe that the latest ranking will further motivate the academic community to strive for greater excellence while enhancing the institution’s reputation on the national stage.
With campuses in Lucknow and Amethi, BBAU offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. The university also provides various scholarships and financial assistance schemes for meritorious and economically disadvantaged students, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive and accessible education.
