Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal Participates in Sundarkand Recital and Bada Mangal Feast in Gonda

Gonda: A devotional Sundarkand recital and community feast (Bhandara) were organized with great reverence and spiritual fervour at the Shri Hanuman Temple located within the Commissioner’s Office premises on the auspicious occasion of the Bada Mangal celebration during the holy month of Jyeshtha.

Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal participated in the religious programme and offered prayers to Lord Hanuman following traditional rituals. She prayed for the prosperity, well-being and welfare of the people of the state and the division.

The Commissioner joined devotees during the Sundarkand recitation and later distributed prasad among those present. A large number of devotees attended the event, creating an atmosphere filled with faith, devotion and spiritual enthusiasm.

Following the religious observances, a community feast was organized in which devotees and visitors partook of the blessed food. The event reflected the spirit of service, harmony and devotion associated with the Bada Mangal tradition, which holds special significance in Uttar Pradesh.

Among those present on the occasion were Additional Commissioner Meenu Rana, Additional Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Joint Development Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Pandey, members of the legal fraternity, and several officers and staff members from the administration.

Officials acknowledged the efforts of the temple committee and supporting staff, whose contributions ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the religious event.

The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from devotees and reinforced the cultural and spiritual traditions associated with the revered Bada Mangal observances dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
