Lucknow Municipal Commissioner Reviews Key Development Projects Across City

Directs officials to expedite construction work while maintaining quality standards

Lucknow: Lucknow Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar conducted an extensive inspection of several major development and infrastructure projects underway across the city. During the visit, he reviewed the progress of the under-construction zonal office and parking facility at Chakbast in Kaiserbagh, roads being developed under the CM Grid project near the IGNOU Regional Centre in Zone-8, drain construction work at Rajni Khand, the Haibatmau Lake project, Kanha Upvan at Nadarganj, Radha Sarovar and Prem Sarovar projects under AMRUT 2.0, as well as the large gaushala and ABC Centre at Amausi.

Accompanied by Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr. Arvind Kumar Rao and Chief Engineer Civil Mahesh Verma, the Municipal Commissioner instructed officials to accelerate pending works and ensure completion within the stipulated timelines without compromising quality.

During the inspection of the under-construction zonal office at Chakbast, Gaurav Kumar directed Executive Engineer Atul Mishra to carry out construction work in double shifts and complete all fire safety-related works within the next 15 days. He also instructed that the entire building project must be completed by the end of June.

Reviewing the CM Grid road projects in Zone-8, the Municipal Commissioner directed officials to underground the exposed high-tension electricity lines near the IGNOU Regional Centre before June-end. He also instructed authorities to speed up the drain construction work at Rajni Khand, where 150 metres of the proposed 250-metre drain has already been completed.

At the Haibatmau Lake project, he directed officials to complete finishing, beautification and horticulture work by the end of this month. During the inspection of Kanha Upvan, he emphasized early completion of the school boundary wall and faster tendering for the school building construction.

The Municipal Commissioner also reviewed the quality of work at Radha Sarovar and Prem Sarovar projects under AMRUT 2.0 and issued directions for necessary improvements. At the large gaushala in Amausi, he instructed officials to enhance greenery, install high-mast lights, widen the main gate and develop better infrastructure facilities.
