Lucknow: A K Sharma participated as the chief guest in the birth anniversary celebration of Prithviraj Chauhan held at Ibrahimabad, Surajpur in Mau district during his visit to the region.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said that the life of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan symbolises courage, valour and patriotism. He noted that the legendary ruler fought relentlessly against Muhammad Ghori until his final moments and sacrificed everything to protect his culture and faith.
Sharma said that the life and legacy of Prithviraj Chauhan continue to inspire the younger generation and serve as a reminder of dedication towards the nation and society.
Emphasising the importance of history, the minister stated that history not only instills a sense of pride but also motivates society to learn from the past and move forward with unity and determination. He called upon people to strengthen mutual brotherhood and remain vigilant against any form of betrayal or divisive tendencies.

In his address, the minister also cautioned the public against individuals who attempt to mislead or deceive people for personal gain. He stressed that awareness and collective responsibility are essential for achieving genuine social and economic progress.
Reiterating his commitment to the development of Mau district, A.K. Sharma assured the public that no effort would be spared in ensuring the region’s comprehensive growth. He added that the government is continuously working to ensure that welfare schemes reach the last person in society.
Social workers Sant Dev Chauhan and Santosh Chauhan, along with public representatives and a large number of local residents, were present at the programme.
