Lucknow | The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 24 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and changing District Magistrates (DMs) in several key districts, including Ayodhya, Barabanki, Ghazipur, Ambedkar Nagar, Etah, Hapur, Aligarh, Banda, Farrukhabad, and Sonbhadra.
This large-scale reshuffle comes a day after an earlier round in which around 40 IAS officers were transferred, affecting districts such as Unnao, Sultanpur, Shamli, Amroha, Hamirpur, Mainpuri, Auraiya, Saharanpur, Agra, Bulandshahr, Lakhimpur Kheri, Fatehpur, Jhansi, Shravasti, and Rae Bareli.
Key district-level changes
Several important district postings have been revised in the latest order:
- Avinash Kumar, earlier DM Ghazipur, has been appointed DM Aligarh.
- Arvind Singh has been posted as DM Etah.
- Amit Asreey has been appointed DM Banda.
- Dr Ankur Lather has been named DM Farrukhabad.
- Kavita Meena will now serve as DM Hapur.
- Isha Priya has been appointed DM Ambedkar Nagar.
- Charchit Gaud has been posted as DM Sonbhadra.
In another major exchange:
- Anupam Shukla has been transferred from Ambedkar Nagar to Ghazipur.
- Shashank Tripathi moves from Barabanki to Ayodhya.
- Ishan Pratap Singh has been shifted from a Special Secretary role in the Chief Minister’s Office to DM Barabanki.
- Nikhil Tikaram Funde, earlier DM Ayodhya, has been made Special Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office.
Senior-level administrative adjustments
- Prem Ranjan Singh, DM Etah, has been appointed Additional State Project Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
- Abhishek Pandey, DM Hapur, has been posted as Additional Land Management Commissioner, Revenue Council.
- Sanjeev Ranjan, DM Aligarh, has been moved to the Agriculture Department as Special Secretary.
- J Reeba, DM Banda, has been appointed Special Secretary in the Geology and Mining Department.
Development authorities and CDO-level changes
- Diwakar Kumar Dwivedi (Farrukhabad DM) moves to the Public Works Department as Special Secretary.
- Badri Nath Singh (Sonbhadra DM) has been shifted to the Higher Education Department.
- Deeksha Jain has been posted as Additional CEO, UPSIDA, Kanpur.
- Dr Aparajita Singh Sinsinwar has been appointed Vice-Chairperson of Bulandshahr-Khurja Development Authority.
- Pranata Aishwarya has been made Vice-Chairperson of Muzaffarnagar Development Authority.
At the district development level:
- Utkarsh Dwivedi becomes Chief Development Officer (CDO), Shahjahanpur.
- Abhinav J Jain appointed CDO Kanpur Nagar.
- Deeksha Joshi takes charge as CDO Sitapur.
Administrative intent
Officials indicate that the reshuffle is aimed at improving governance efficiency, accelerating development work, and strengthening administrative responsiveness across districts.
