Tributes Paid to Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and Mangal Pandey on Their Death Anniversary

Lucknow: Leaders and workers of the National Lok Morcha paid heartfelt tributes to Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and Mangal Pandey on their death anniversary at the party’s state camp office in Lucknow.

The programme began with the offering of floral tributes to the portraits of the two great personalities, who are remembered for inspiring patriotism and sacrifice. Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, the composer of the national song Vande Mataram, and Mangal Pandey, a symbol of bravery and resistance, were honoured for their enduring contributions to the nation.

Chief Guest Joy Banerjee, National General Secretary of the party, initiated the ceremony by paying floral respects. He was joined by Sumita Banerjee (National Vice President, Women’s Wing), Omkar Singh (State Vice President), Arvind Singh (District President, Lucknow), Shadab Ali (Metropolitan President, Lucknow), Ankita Singh (West Assembly President), and other leaders including Suresh Pal, Deepak Bajpai, Aftab Ansari, Rahman Khan, and Munish Ghazi.

On the occasion, party leaders and workers reflected on the lives and contributions of both icons, highlighting their role in shaping India’s freedom movement and fostering a spirit of nationalism.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment by attendees to uphold the ideals of patriotism and service inspired by the lives of the two legendary figures.
