Lucknow: Anuj delivered a standout performance at the Chandra Prakash Agrawal Memorial Second Gyan Dairy Tennis Tournament, winning both the Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles titles to complete a memorable double crown. Aniruddh also enjoyed a successful outing, emerging as a double winner by lifting the Under-18 Boys’ title and sharing the Men’s Doubles crown.
Organised by the SDS Tennis Academy at the La Martiniere Lawn Tennis Facility, La Martiniere College, the tournament concluded with an impressive closing ceremony. Venkatramani Santhanam (Chief Revenue Officer – Sales) graced the event as the chief guest, while Puneet Agrawal, Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Tennis Association, attended as the guest of honour. The winners and runners-up were felicitated with trophies and prizes.

Distinguished guests Rakesh Seth and Dr Arshad Ali were also present on the occasion. The closing ceremony was presided over by Pawan Sagar of SDS, who expressed gratitude to the guests, players, officials, and supporters. Saurabh Chaturvedi, Alok Bhatnagar, and several others were also in attendance.
In the Men’s Singles final, Anuj showcased resilience and composure to defeat Aniruddh in a closely contested match, winning 7-5 to claim the title. The encounter remained evenly balanced, with both players pushing each other to the limit before Anuj edged ahead in the decisive moments.
The Men’s Doubles final provided high-voltage action, where the pair of Anuj and Aniruddh combined effectively to overcome Shailendra and Vansh Raj. The match went down to a tense tie-break, with Anuj and Aniruddh sealing victory 7-3 (7-6) to lift the doubles trophy.

In the Under-18 Boys’ final, Aniruddh once again proved his mettle in a hard-fought contest, defeating Sanidhya in a tie-break 7-4 (7-6) to secure the championship title.
The Under-16 Boys’ final saw Sanidhya bounce back strongly, defeating Rohin Raj by 6-2 to assert his dominance in the category. In the Under-12 Boys’ final, Abhay Pal clinched the title after a competitive match against Vibhor, winning 7-5 (4-3).
Meanwhile, Tejas Singh produced a commanding performance in the Under-14 Boys’ category, registering a one-sided 6-0 victory over Riddhiman Rajput to claim the title. In the Under-10 Boys’ category, Mohammad Hamdan and Arsh Kant Singh were declared joint winners, acknowledging their impressive performances throughout the tournament.
The tournament concluded on a high note, celebrating emerging tennis talent and reaffirming its role as a strong platform for nurturing young players in the region.
