Natha Police Win Praise as Outpost In-Charge Ravi Bhati Recovers Woman’s Lost Bag After Checking 100 CCTV Cameras

Lucknow |  Demonstrating exemplary honesty and dedication to duty, Natha police outpost in-charge Ravi Bhati—of the Thana Naka area popularly known as Natha Chowki In-Charge—has once again come into the spotlight for a commendable act of service.

According to the police, Rachna Sharma, a resident of Jais in Amethi district, had come to stay at her brother’s home in Alambagh. On Tuesday, she travelled to Indiranagar for personal work and later took an auto-rickshaw towards Charbagh via Utretia. During the journey, her bag accidentally remained inside the auto when she got down.

Realising her loss, a distressed Rachna Sharma immediately contacted Nakha police station, reporting the missing bag.

Upon receiving the information, Chowki In-Charge Ravi Bhati quickly formed a team and, with the cooperation of the ITMS surveillance unit, began scanning CCTV footage. The police meticulously reviewed nearly 100 CCTV cameras along the route. After an extensive search, the team successfully traced and recovered the bag from the Utretia area.

The recovered bag contained:

  • One gold ring
  • One silver ring
  • One silver pendant
  • Clothes
  • ₹3,000 in cash

Rachna Sharma reached the Natha Chowki after being informed about the recovery and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the police. She said she had almost lost hope of getting her belongings back, and the joy on her face was clearly visible as she thanked the officers.

Residents and local authorities praised the swift action and integrity displayed by In-Charge Ravi Bhati and his team. The incident once again highlighted the Natha police’s commitment to public service and their determination to uphold honesty as a core value of policing.
