Mumbai– During the electrifying teaser launch event for “KD – The Devil” on July 10, actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra shared a captivating anecdote about how she came to be a part of the upcoming gangster drama. Shilpa revealed that she was recovering from a fracture and confined to a wheelchair when the filmmakers approached her, a situation that initially made her hesitant to take on the project.
Shilpa recounted, “Initially, I was caught up with other work, and had not intended to do ‘KD – The Devil.’ I had suffered an injury and was on a wheelchair after shooting for an action sequence for Rohit Shetty’s film. The makers of ‘KD – The Devil’ were quite clear to cast me for the role.”
She elaborated on the unexpected turn of events: “Because they were so insistent, my manager suggested I hear the narration and then decide. I was on the wheelchair when they were narrating the film. Upon hearing the narration, I stood up from the wheelchair without realizing that I had suffered a fracture. And I reacted, saying ‘Mujhe ye film karni hai’ (I want to do this film). After hearing the full narrative, I gave a nod to the film.”

In “KD – The Devil,” Shilpa Shetty Kundra will be seen for the first time in a retro avatar, portraying the intense character of Satyavathi. The recently unveiled teaser offers a compelling glimpse into her intriguing role, hinting at a memorable performance from the actress. She will be sharing the screen with a multi-starrer cast including Dhruva Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, and V Ravichandran.
