Tameshwarnath Dham to Mirror the Grandeur of Ayodhya and Kashi: CM Yogi Adityanath

SANT KABIR NAGAR – In a major push to regional development and religious tourism, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Monday that the historic Tameshwarnath Dham in Sant Kabir Nagar will be developed into a grand spiritual center akin to Ayodhya and Kashi. The CM made the declaration while inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 528 development projects worth ₹1,515 crore in the district.

Addressing a massive public gathering, CM Yogi said the state government is committed to transforming Baba Tameshwarnath Dham into a majestic pilgrimage site. “Just like Ayodhya and Kashi, the Tameshwarnath shrine will be reimagined with a beautiful corridor for safe and convenient pilgrimage. No one will be displaced; instead, there will be systematic rehabilitation keeping in mind the interests of local traders and Gosais,” he assured.

Historic Development Push in Sant Kabir Nagar

The ₹1,515 crore projects span critical areas such as tourism, road connectivity, drinking water, health, education, sports, and urban infrastructure. The Chief Minister emphasized that these initiatives will enhance the quality of life and provide Sant Kabir Nagar with a fresh identity. He also visited an exhibition highlighting the district’s famous brassware industry, particularly from Bakhira, noting that it has received renewed recognition under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme.

Highlighting the achievements of ODOP, CM Yogi said, “Over 1.65 crore youth have gained employment through ODOP in the state.” He added that Sant Kabir Nagar’s artisans are contributing significantly to the region’s economic fabric.

Tirtha Rejuvenation Showcases Double-Engine Governance

The CM pointed to the successful transformation of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and Maa Vindhyavasini corridor as examples of how the double-engine government (state and Centre) is redefining India’s pilgrimage landscape. “Today, Kashi can host 50,000 pilgrims at once, and Maa Vindhyavasini Dham 10,000. Tameshwarnath Dham will soon join these ranks,” he said, urging officials and the public to work collectively and responsibly.

Empowering Citizens Through Welfare Schemes

The event also witnessed the distribution of benefits under various welfare schemes. CM Yogi handed out checks, keys to houses, laptops, tablets, and other resources to eligible beneficiaries. Some notable disbursements include:

“This is the New India”

Painting a vibrant picture of India’s transformation, CM Yogi said, “A decade ago, no one believed that world-class highways, expressways, metros, waterways, and rapid rail systems could become a reality in India. But today, Sant Kabir Nagar is linked to Gorakhpur and Ambedkarnagar via Purvanchal Expressway’s link road. The country’s first waterway and rapid rail are operational in Uttar Pradesh.”

He also referenced the recently concluded Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, attended by over 66 crore devotees, as a symbol of India’s organizational might and spiritual strength.

Commitment to Inclusive Development

Reaffirming his government’s focus on inclusive growth, CM Yogi highlighted how schemes like Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana, and free ration have reached every corner of Uttar Pradesh. “We are determined to ensure saturation of benefits in all 75 districts without any discrimination. In the last eight years, 8 lakh youth have secured government jobs, including over 60,000 appointments in the police force alone,” he added.
