One-Day ‘Shaurya Kala Shivir’ Dedicated to the Indomitable Courage and Bravery of the Indian Armed Forces

Lucknow: Lalit Kala Akademi, the country’s premier institution for visual arts, organized a one-day “Shaurya Kala Shivir” at its Regional Centre in Lucknow. This special art camp was a heartfelt tribute to the unparalleled courage, sacrifice, and bravery of the Indian Armed Forces.

The primary objective of the camp was to express the valour of the Indian military through the medium of art. On this occasion, both painters and sculptors paid homage to the soldiers by portraying their unique contributions through creative expressions.

The camp was graced by renowned actor Anil Rastogi and Jitendra Kumar Dubey, Additional Superintendent of Police, as special guests.

Prominent artists who actively participated in the camp included:
Amit Kumar, Vineet Pandey, Hansraj, Siddharth Dev, Faujdar, Anup, Ishwar, Divyanshi Kumari, Harshit Kumar, and Shubham Nishad.

  • Artist Vineet Pandey presented a painting depicting an Indian woman soldier, with a young Indian girl emotionally expressing gratitude after a counter-terrorism operation.

  • Ishwar Chandra illustrated the growing role and valiant tales of the Indian Army.

  • Kuldeep Dhiman showcased India’s transformation into a global power through ceramic sculptures of missiles.

  • Siddharth Dev painted the BrahMos missile alongside Colonel Sophia Qureshi, highlighting women’s empowerment and military glory.

  • Manoj Hansraj portrayed the importance of Operation Sindoor and the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister through his artwork.

  • Amit Kumar illustrated India’s decisive victory through visuals of Indian soldiers destroying terrorist hideouts during Operation Sindoor.

The sculptor panel featured renowned names such as: Mahesh Gupta, Kapil Sharma, Gyanendra Pratap Shah, Sandhya Vishwakarma, Jai Narayan, and Manoj Kumar.

Senior sculptor Mahesh Gupta presented a relief sculpture reflecting the themes of Sindoor, Shakti, Desh, and Dharma, underscoring the spiritual and nationalistic ethos of the nation.

This initiative is a continuation of Lalit Kala Akademi’s creative tradition that reflects sensitivity and responsibility towards society and the nation through artistic endeavors. The works created during the camp not only exemplified aesthetic excellence but also resounded with a strong spirit of patriotism and bravery.
