Development of Religious Sites Will Boost Local Tourism: Minister Jaiveer Singh

Lucknow: In a bid to promote religious tourism, the Uttar Pradesh government has approved a beautification and tourism development project for the ancient Devarshi Narad Muni Temple, located in Narkhi Dhaukal village of Firozabad district. A budget of ₹1.29 crore has been sanctioned for the project, out of which ₹40 lakh has already been released as the first installment.

Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh shared this information, stating that the funds will be used to construct a multipurpose hall, public toilets, benches, and other essential amenities. The aim is to provide improved facilities for devotees and ensure better management of the temple premises.

“The government’s objective is to enhance religious tourism by developing infrastructure and beautifying spiritual sites. This initiative is also expected to give a boost to the local economy,” said Minister Singh.

Highlighting the government’s continuous focus on the development of religious places, Singh added that such efforts not only provide better amenities to pilgrims but also infuse new energy into the local tourism landscape. The renovation of the Narad Muni Temple is seen as a significant step in this direction.

The announcement has sparked enthusiasm among locals and devotees, who believe that the beautification of the historic temple will elevate its spiritual and historical value. Additionally, the project is anticipated to create new opportunities for employment and trade in the region.
