Mumbai: Fans of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty’s iconic comedy film Hera Pheri have a reason to rejoice. Even after 25 years since its initial release in 2000, the film continues to hold a special place in the hearts of audiences. With a recent trend of classic films getting re-released, reports suggest that Hera Pheri may soon make its way back to cinemas.
Hera Pheri to Be Re-Released
Addressing speculations regarding the re-release of the cult classic, producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala stated, “I cannot make this decision alone. While I am the legal owner of the film on paper, morally, Akshay, Pareshji, and Suniel have an equal stake in it. We will take this decision together.”
Hinting at the strong possibility of a re-release, Nadiadwala confidently remarked that Hera Pheri would perform well at the box office once again if it hits the screens.
Hera Pheri Franchise Continues to Grow
Following the massive success of Hera Pheri, its sequel Phir Hera Pheri was released in 2006. Even today, memes and dialogues from the franchise remain viral on social media. Adding to the excitement, the much-anticipated third installment, Hera Pheri 3, is in the works, with filming set to commence in the coming months.
