Raj Bhavan’s Tableau Wins Second Place at Republic Day Parade

Lucknow: At the Republic Day Conclusion Ceremony (Beating the Retreat) held  at the Police Lines, Lucknow,  Monica S. Garg, the Commissioner of Agricultural Production, presented trophies to the winners of various competitions held as part of the Republic Day Parade. Among the honored participants, Raj Bhavan, Uttar Pradesh, was awarded second place for its impressive tableau, while the Brass Band School category saw Raj Bhavan Primary School securing first place.

Recognizing the Excellence of Raj Bhavan’s Participation

In the Republic Day Parade, under the guidance and inspiration of the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Raj Bhavan’s tableau was presented, reflecting the cultural richness and heritage of the state. Additionally, 40 students from Raj Bhavan Primary School participated in the brass band performance, showcasing their talent in an energetic and spirited presentation.

During the Beating the Retreat Ceremony, the Raj Bhavan School Brass Band performed with vigor, playing patriotic tunes such as “Sare Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Hamara” and “Hum Honge Kamyab.” Their performance featured drum rolls, fast-paced beats, and a display of enthusiasm that captivated the audience.

A Grand Display of Patriotism and Unity

The Beating the Retreat Ceremony also showcased various bands from the PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary), Military, Home Guards, and Raj Bhavan. These bands presented an array of patriotic songs, blending fast and slow tempos, while delivering exhilarating performances filled with energy and national pride.

The performances from Brass, Pipes, and Drums Bands brought a sense of unity and patriotism to the event, marking the conclusion of the Republic Day celebrations in Lucknow. The participation of Raj Bhavan’s students, especially in the Brass Band category, added to the spirit of the ceremony, symbolizing the deep-rooted love and respect for the nation.

Honoring the Winners

Monica S. Garg personally awarded the trophies to the winners, including Raj Bhavan and Raj Bhavan Primary School, for their remarkable contributions to the Republic Day celebrations. The event not only highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh but also demonstrated the importance of youth involvement in national celebrations.
