Lucknow: The city is set to observe Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Diwas on 6th December 2024, with devotees and dignitaries expected to gather at Ambedkar Park and Memorial Site, Gomti Nagar, to pay homage to the architect of the Indian Constitution. To manage the anticipated crowd and ensure smooth traffic flow, the Lucknow Traffic Police has announced diversions and parking arrangements effective from 6:00 AM on 6th December until the end of the event.
Traffic Diversions and Routes
- Gandhi Setu (1090) Intersection:
- General traffic heading towards Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Sthal will be diverted towards Samtamulk Chauraha and further through Digdiga Chauraha.
- Samtamulk Chauraha:
- Vehicles will not be allowed to proceed directly to Ambedkar Sthal and will be rerouted through Digdiga Chauraha.
- Ambedkar Udyan Chauraha:
- Traffic will be directed via Digdiga Chauraha to avoid congestion at the venue.
- Sahara City Route:
- Commuters heading towards Ambedkar Sthal will need to use the alternate route via Digdiga Chauraha.
Advisory for General Public
- Commuters are urged to avoid the restricted areas and plan their journeys using alternative routes.
- Traffic police officials will be stationed along diversion points to guide travelers and ensure compliance.
Emergency Access
Special provisions have been made for emergency vehicles, including ambulances, fire services, hearses, and school buses, which will be allowed on restricted routes under the supervision of the traffic police.
