Lucknow: An awareness program was organized at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School under the ambit of Mission Shakti Phase 0.5, aiming to educate students about cyber crime, online fraud, and safety measures. The event, conducted under the guidance of Thakurganj police station inspector Srikant Rai, emphasized critical aspects of cyber security and the precautions necessary to ensure personal safety in the digital age.
Women police personnel actively engaged with the students, providing detailed information about cyber crime, cyber security protocols, online and bank frauds, and identifying fake calls. Practical advice on avoiding online scams and maintaining digital safety was a highlight of the session.
The students were also introduced to key resources for assistance, including helpline numbers, the pink booth initiative, and the women help desk, enhancing their understanding of available support mechanisms.
The program was conducted in the presence of Sajjan Kumar Mandal, Vice Principal of the school, along with Neelu Mishra from the Management Committee, and teachers Surya Kumar Mishra and Priyanka Awasthi.
Prominent women police personnel present at the event included Women SI Shivani Verma, Women SI Priya, and Constables Shikha Shukla, Aarti, and Karishma, who played an instrumental role in delivering the awareness session.
The initiative reflects a proactive step towards empowering young minds with knowledge to navigate and counter digital threats, aligning with the objectives of Mission Shakti to promote safety and awareness among women and students.
