Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Energy Department has introduced a GIS-based QR code system to assist pilgrims at the Mahakumbh Mela. Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K.Sharma stated that this innovative technology has helped reunite separated families and recover lost belongings. Over 50,000 electricity poles in the Mela area have been mapped with unique QR codes and assigned specific numbers.
