In fact, about 18 girl students fainted due to scorching heat in Matihani Madhya Vidyalaya of Matihani block, who have been admitted to Matihani Referral Hospital for treatment. Suddenly around 10 o’clock in Madhya Vidyalaya Matihani, school girls started falling unconscious. After this, the headmaster Chandrakant Singh first gave ORS solution in the school itself, but despite this, the process of fainting continued, after which all the girl students have been admitted to Matihani Referral Hospital for treatment.
At present, 14 girl students are being treated at Matihani Referral Hospital. The school’s headmaster Chandrakant Singh said that there is severe heat, there are fans in the school, along with electricity, generators have been arranged, despite this, the girls started fainting due to heat. First aid was done in the school but after the condition worsened, all the girls have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. On getting the information of children falling ill, the family started reaching the hospital and school, due to which the children were given leave after feeding them mid-day meal in the school after 10 o’clock. However, they have given leave by going against the government guidelines. Doctor Rahul Kumar of the hospital treating them said that the girls have fainted due to heat. At present, glucose and ORS solution is being given to the children and all of them are being treated.
